In September 2019, the world’s energy leaders will meet at the 24th World Energy Congress in Abu Dhabi to determine a course of Energy prosperity for nations, companies, societies, the environment and individuals. Conference sessions will bring together both established experts and thought leaders from across the globe. In anticipation of the 24th World Energy Congress, the Council has released its Global Energy Scenarios Comparison Review during The Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue event. The Council has undertaken a comparison of the assumptions, narratives, and numbers found in a peer group of global energy scenarios of interest to Council members.

Success for the Council’s Pilot Cyber Workshops
On Monday 8th of April 2019, the World Energy Council hosted a Cyber Workshop pilot at Chatham House in London, with our partners Marsh and McLennan Companies. This event was a proof of concept for a series of workshops exploring cybersecurity crafted by the Council’s Policy and Risk Insights Team. The success and positive reception of this pilot workshop will contribute to the design of a program that will eventually be rolled out across the Council’s Community.
